100 Friends – Business Connections You Can Bank On!

I shared my favorite social media site with you recently – Brandergy – and I wanted to let you know about a recent development which takes its already great value to a whole new level!

To refresh your memory, Brandergy is a social media site for business, but unlike others such as LinkedIn, members of Brandergy frequently find themselves introduced directly to other members who are a match for their business needs.  Vincent Wright, creator of Brandergy solicits ideas from people through his “who do you need to meet” campaigns and then plays matchmaker to bring people together for their mutual benefit.

The resulting relationships have helped people find jobs, clients, services, partnerships, funding, etc.  There is no computer algorithm deciding who should meet whom, nor is there any system to “game” or “trick” in order to meet people.  This is pure networking at its best.  Vincent also polices the site to make sure that no spam emails are sent to members by other members and violators are swiftly removed.

Vincent also tracks the quality of the site and people who can’t be bothered to fill out profiles are reminded to complete them or are gently ushered out the door.  The primary goal of the members is to exchange value and meet great business contacts and everything is subordinated to this goal.

As is that weren’t good enough, Vincent has now launched a super-connector high-powered business network within a network, which will have Vincent focused on curating vastly increased high-quality introductions – 100 Friends.  While there is a subscription fee, its less than a few tanks of gas and Vincent has established a goal of a minimum of 10 times the fee as a rate of return.  I suspect it will be closer to 100 based upon my experience in the group to date.

This program, 100 Friends, launched recently and has already resulted in more introductions for me!  It also created a bit of fun conflict as I tried to claim member number 007, but a British member churlishly claimed it for the Throne   I’ll satisfy myself with 008, which matches my recent ranking as the 8th ranked small business marketing resource on the Internet.

I neglected to mention that members also have their website links posted not only on the Brandergy home page, but across all 11,000 or so pages on the site.  Great stuff for your search engine ranking and visibility across the group too!
