I just signed up to receive this Facebook marketing handbook. The thing that interested me in this is the fact that the title indicates that it will teach you marketing tips and tricks for using the new timeline format. I have a facebook fan page and a personal profile and I have yet to move either to the timeline format simply because I don’t understand it. I find that new format confusing and it’s paralyzing.

Marie, you’ll have your page set up in no time. Many people have been frustrated by the switch to the timeline format, but I think its a more powerful for business use.

After reading another article from this site, It began to dawn upon me that it would be an effective strategy to use these Facebook marketing techniques in order to ask visitors to rate my tertiary links so as to increase social relevance for all the other sites. This should increase the value of the backlinks to my web site. And the more tertiary links you have rating high, the more the traffic should exponentially multiply.

Ellis, you’re absolutely right. In many cases the tertiary links and comments will be picked up by the other sites and the cross indexing will occur automatically. You’ve picked up on it quickly!

Speaking of Facebook giveaways, the most common Facebook marketing technique most people have encountered by now, is that of the script which prevents persons from browsing a fan page until you press the LIKE button. This has become the cheapest, most unabashed way to accumulate LIKES. But the truth is that it can also alienate some visitors who are sick of seeing this technique. Some offer to give you some gift after you click the button.
