Starting a small business is risky. They frequently fail. They often eat all of their owners time.

Notice the top reason for failure: lack of experience. Many entrepreneurs start a business with a few superb skills that they can use to deliver value to their clients. What they typically lack is the experience and knowledge of how to build a business around those skills.
A number of the reasons for failure can be tracked to ineffective marketing and sales. If a business isn’t selling, it isn’t going to last.
